Natalie graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry – Emphasis in Biochemistry from California State University, Channel Islands in 2025. Her undergraduate research spanned multiple areas: (1) investigating the antibacterial properties of Indigenous Chumash medicinal plants, (2) assessing peptides as an antiviral treatment for measles virus, (3) evaluating neuronal mechanisms implicated in multisensory responses, and (4) implementing classroom activities aimed at making science more inclusive and relevant for students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to research, Natalie is very passionate about STEM outreach. She currently volunteers with the UCLA California NanoSystems Institute Education Space and serves as a board member in the UCLA SACNAS Chapter.
