Biochemistry, Molecular and Structural Biology PhD Program

(June 2026- Present)

Chris graduated with a B.A. in Biochemistry from Occidental College in 2023, where he performed organic chemistry research on the stereoselective synthesis of unnatural amino acids. Following his graduation, he moved to Germany as a post-bacc fellow in the lab of Dr. Zoya Ignatova where his passion for translational control was sparked. As a current 1st year BMSB graduate student, he is looking to expand on his previous systems-wide approach to investigate ribosomal quality control mechanisms at the single molecule level.
Fun fact: lived in Croatia for a semester over COVID!
